Chapter 19

“Seventy-five thousand gone in one night!” I growl pacing the floor.

“I know bruh. We gotta handle that shit, because it’s bad for business,” Big Dog responds.

“Damn right it is! Do you know how I felt having to tell Prince that there was a little problem? The bastard just looked at me like I was the one that got jacked,” I respond thinking about the look in that man’s eye. It was almost as if he knew I was going to fuck up.

“I’m sure he didn’t mean to. He knows the risks in this business Dee,” BD says trying to get me to cool off.

“You right, he does. I just hated having to even tell him some shit like this. Did you do what I asked?”

“You know I got Carlos and Diggy on it,” BD answers and I feel better already.

Those are my top two shooters. They will hunt those mutherfuckers down and bring back my shit! Carlos is a short stick of dynamite. He shoots first with no questions asked. Diggy, on the other hand is a loose cannon. He will kill everyone he thinks is involved and their family to get what he wants. That’s the reason I always send them out together. I need Carlos’s calm to keep Diggy under control.

“Good. They should have my shit by midnight,” I say feeling a little better about the situation.

“On to another subject, how are things with Faith?” BD asks changing the subject. I know him. He is trying to pull my mind off murder.

“This shit is tense. I don’t know if I can hold her,” I respond taking a seat on the sofa.

“What are you talking about?”

“I don’t know. I keep fucking up and she is trying, but I think her feelings have changed. I just don’t know how to change them back,” I respond shaking my head. The last thing I wanted was to discuss this shit with BD. He just doesn’t get it.

“You still fucking with Regina?” he questions looking at me like I am a lost cause.

“Man I don’t have a choice. I gotta get her to get rid of this kid!”

“Kid! Damn bruh, you knocked her up?”

“Yeah, and Faith knows about it. Regina made sure we both found out at the same time. She set me up,” I respond feeling like a fucking fool.

“How is sis?” he asks with genuine concern. I know he adores Faith, so I don’t even take offense.

“Crushed. I don’t even know why I hurt her like this man,” I reply rubbing my head.

“The question is why you keep fucking up. Until you figure that out and how to stop, you can’t hold her,” he says point blank.

“I know. I just need to get this situation behind me, and then I can rebuild what we had. I know I can make her fall in love with me again,” I say to him, but really for me.

“I hope so. She is a terrific woman.”

“That she is.”

“So assuming you find a way to keep her, do you really think you can be faithful? We getting ready to join the big league.
